As a young man, Mario had minimal exposure to law enforcement. Consequently, whenever he had negative interactions, he often wondered if biases influenced those encounters. Through discussions with friends and, ultimately, his mother, Mario concluded that empowerment and taking action would be his best course of action.

This guidance motivated Mario to pursue a career in law enforcement. Today, he dedicates himself to safeguarding and healing communities plagued by gangs and crime. Mario has consoled grieving mothers who've lost their children and children who've lost their mothers. He's ventured overseas in the pursuit of justice while offering guidance to local youth who've lost their way. Mario has had the privilege of training and instructing law enforcement officers from around the world, all the while continually educating himself on issues related to his community and law enforcement. More importantly, he's been able to serve and protect his community with a foundation rooted in empowerment and action, becoming the change he wanted to see.
