John has over 25 years of law enforcement experience. For the last 14 years, among his other duties, John has been a police trainer in topics that include, drug investigations, leadership, and officer-involved shooting. As a Captain and District Commander, John practices and teaches Servant Leadership.
John, and the police officers he serves, are active participants in their community. John's team hosts community meet and greets and co-sponsors a charity run to raise money for abused and neglected children.
John has received numerous accolades for his law enforcement efforts including a U.S. Department of Justice Award for Public Service, Certificate of Merit from the Governor of Idaho, and Outstanding Supervisor award from the Idaho State Police. John has also been awarded the Idaho State Police Silver Star for Bravery as well as the Idaho Medal of Honor for Gallantry and Meritorious Conduct.
